New Job!!

After much prayerful thought, I have decided to accept a position with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Recruiting/Marketing Specialist. I've spent the last two years teaching and coaching and have decided to embark on a new adventure! I am starting at Northwestern in August, after spending the summer working at camp. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me to make the right decision. It is going to be extremely hard to leave my students and I could never replace their impact in my life.

I am torn because this means I will now be a part of a long distance relationship. I am fully confident Donny and I will survive the distance. I hope to plan date nights, etc. so that we have something to look forward to (besides seeing each other of course).

How many of you have been/are in a long distance relationship? Any tips?

Fort Worth, so only 1 1/2 hours away from Donny.

Brandon and I were apart for our first semester of college. I was at the Univeristy of Utah, he was at ACU. Neither of us had cell phones with free long distance so e-mail, phone cards and AIM were our ways of communicating. It was hard, but very worth it. It will work out if both of you want it to work. Good luck!!

Alan and I were also long distance my first year at ACU. Even though you aren't too far away, write letters/cards! It's fun to read them later on.

Ryan and I were long distance when we first started too...about 2 hours. Write to each other, I agree because you WILL want to read them later! Just talk lots and time will fly while you are learning your new job! I hope it all goes well. I'll be praying for you!
