I had one of the best Valentine's Days ever this year! To most people it will probably seem boring or not as glamorous as most, but here it goes....

It started as any other day with me going to school. At 11:30 we all boarded the bus (I'm the bus driver believe it or not!) and headed for Angelo State University. The Varsity boys basketball team was given the opportunity to play a warm-up playoff game in the Junell Center. You're probably wondering why this was such a big deal. I coach and teach in a town of only 700 people. Donny is the boys' basketball coach and Angelo State is his Alma Mater. I was filled with so much pride to watch he and the boys participate in this exciting event. The Junell Center was built after Donny graduated and many of the boys had never been to an arena this size, let alone played in one. We are so blessed to be able to share these experiences with the children. To make it even more exciting, we led the game for all but the fourth quarter. Our boys are not even ranked but the other team we played was ranked 8th in state. We ended up losing by only 7 points or so. They will play their first playoff game on Tuesday at Waco High. If any of you are in that area, feel free to come cheer them on with me.

Have a great weekend!!
