I know, I know, FINALLY a new post!!
Well...I'm finally back from a long summer of friends and fun. Camp was great! I got to spend time with Kenny, Jennifer, and their son Kennan and with many new and old friends.
Since camp has ended, I have: been to Shreveport (I only lost $20) , Nashville and back in two days (driving not flying), moved to Fort Worth, and started my new job with Northwestern Mutual.
I LOVE my new job. I can honestly say I do not miss grading papers and having to take home my job every night. I do miss the students, but fortunately Donny still coaches there so I get to see them often.
Thanks to a true 8-5 job, I've now joined a softball team. Our first game was last night. We got run-ruled but we had a great time anyway. The coach put me at second base even though I hadn't played softball since high school. We also have to wear the "Skirt of Shame" if we strike out. The skirt is a pink tutu (sp?). Luckily I didn't strike out last night so I didn't have to wear it. I know it will happen sooner or later though. Check out our website for pics of the team and the "Skirt of Shame." http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?cmenuid=1&url=rahrsoftball&sid=673258117
I hope to keep this updated more often now that I have a little more time on my hands.
